Applications & Proposals Engineer, Industrial Vacuum 1 1

The Role    

Deliver technically correct & commercially valid proposals that best reflect the customer requirement in a timely manner. Using the principle of ‘just-enough’ and quote everything else as options.
Generate technical support documentation where appropriate e.g. Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) or Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), control philosophies, component data sheets and Quality plans for inclusion in quotations.
Interpret customer process conditions and enquiry specifications, including pump sizing, selection and proposed system design and convert this information into an Edwards Vacuum System proposal.
Interface with enabling departments (e.g. Legal, Risk Management, Applications, Market Sector Management, Technical) to ensure validity of the technical and commercial offer taking into account all customer specification.
Support PC with details of the customer requirements.

What we expect of you?    
Knowledge of vacuum pumping systems, chemical processes or rotating machinery and their applications gained through at least 2 years experience of a similar role.
The ability to provide technically and commercially valid quotations.
Well organized and able to plan effectively and set priorities. Analytical techniques and computer literacy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin would be an advantage but not essential).
2~3 years working experience overseas in Mechanical engineering area in which English is working language.
SAP and AutoCAD knowledge are a plus but not essential.
Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time- constrained activities, driven by customer requirements.
Ability to work as a team. Good interpersonal and communication skills for communicating interfacing with customers and colleagues in supporting functions.
Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals of the division.
