Mission/Purpose of the Job

The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in the engineering function, developing and executing high level roadmaps and activity schedules, defining budgets and ensuring a strong level of competency to ensure a highly competitive product portfolio which meets time, cost & quality targets.

The Engineering Manager will report to the Product Company General Manager and will receive functional guidance from the Technology Group and will also interface directly with the BU and PC teams.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure sustainable profitable growth targets for Abatement, Precursor Solutions and Integrated system through management of Product Company engineering teams including New Product Introduction and Engineer to Order.
  • Provide functional management to engineering teams to ensure the highest standards in technical quality, functionality and cost delivered in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive plans to ensure product roadmaps, project schedules and support activities are aligned to Division requirements.
  • Drive effective cross functional relationships to deliver highly competitive and reliable products to agreed time, quality and cost targets
  • Build a strong, competent, effective and motivated team scaled to the agreed project deliverables
  • People development and retention of people by work place of choice.

 

 What we expect of you?

 

  • Education level
    Degree level or higher in an engineering or science discipline
  • Relevant Previous experience
    10 years engineering experience at a management level including of new product development programmes, operations and support activities.
  • Knowledge areas/Skills
    - Comprehensive technical knowledge of abatement technologies, precursor products, IS and their applications in the market place.
    - Experience and understanding of supply chain and manufacturing systems.
    - A proven ability to manage projects and activities, delivering on time, to specification with strict quality and cost targets (project and product costs).
    - Sufficient business/commercial awareness to make appropriate proposals to balance potentially conflicting commercial and technical drivers.
    - Management expertise to build & develop a cohesive team, to provide leadership & direction, and to foster good communications across project teams & functions.
    - Influencing, communication, presentation and negotiating skills at the highest levels, both internally and externally. 

      Able to achieve credibility and command respect. Influencing across functional boundaries is a key element of this role.
  • Other requirements

             Fluent verbal and written English and Korean skills
