Project Engineer - AGA
Your role
The Air and Gas Applications Division is looking to appoint a project engineer to handle the OHP and OLP within Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, mainly in the Industrial segment, which requires Customized Solutions
Reporting to the AGA BLM, the project engineer will be responsible for providing high-quality and efficient service by anticipating and responding to customers' queries and interacting with the Project Engineers and Managers within the High-Pressure and Low-pressure divisions
Your responsibilities include
- To manage the projects for the OHP and OLP.
- To manage order execution, achieving client satisfaction in terms of delivery and technical requirements.
- To provide customer service by anticipating and responding to customer queries
- To manage and motivate all resources allocated to the project, therefore enabling successful completion.
- To prepare and supply documentation as required within the contract.
- To be responsible for the project engineering support of various projects from conceptual and detailed design stage through engineering, production, performance testing and dispatch to the customer.
- Execute project Engineering support activates to various projects.
- To act as the main coordination link between the customer and Systems.
- To address material and schedule concerns with the customer and Systems.
- To be responsible for proper review and processing of variations and claims received from the customer and the product companies.
- To provide input of cost estimates if requested during bidding of projects.
- To manage budget, procurement and schedules for the projects handled.
- Manage a given project within the costs allocated without escalation to save costs wherever possible.
- To coordinate and participate in formal design and engineering reviews by the customer and by the product companies.
- To keep management posted on the project status.
- To monitor the overall progress of projects against schedule and milestones reporting to management, as well as providing early warning of potential slippage, in case of the latter; propose remedial actions so that the contract completion data for the work is not jeopardized.
To succeed, you will need
Educational requirements
Degree in Engineering (Mech / Elec / Instrumentation) with corresponding experience in the industry, preferably in Engineering documentations
Experience requirements
- Min of 3 years of project management. Experience with Atlas Copco products is a plus.
- Knowledge and practical experience of software, including drafting techniques (including CAD, MS office,
Windows, Lotus Notes, MS Projects)
- Has excellent Interpersonal skills.
- Has effective communication skills.
- Can plan and organize effectively.
- Must be able to read pneumatic/hydraulic flow diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Understanding of electrical drawings.
Knowledge & Competence
- Good command (verbal and written) of English.
- Command of Arabic and other languages is an advantage.
- Solid understanding and mature user of MS Office.
- Use of Auto CAD.
- Good presentation skills
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered Solutions of any rotating /static packages.
