Sales Engineer

Your role
Compressor Technique Business Area wants to be a leading provider of Engineered Solutions for Instrument Air, Nitrogen gas generator packages in Oil & Gas, Petro Chemical segment as well as to other industries they need Engineered Solutions. For that purpose and activity Atlas Copco has created a focused team in KSA & Kuwait.
Currently We're looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Energy & Petrochemical team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving the sales of our engineered Air Compressor, Air treatment & Gas generator products by providing technical expertise and support to our customers.
You will work closely with our application & product management team to ensure that our clients receive the best solutions tailored to their needs. you’re ultimately responsible for maintaining Atlas Copco's standard of excellence and delivering solutions with the utmost attention to safety and quality. You’re responsible for building strong relationships with key clients, developing account focused sales strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Effectively organize and ensure regular communication & visits with key customers in assigned territory.
- You will work closely with the Application Engineering Team and, when necessary, the Product Management Team, reviewing and interpreting customer inquiries. You will analyze the requirements in accordance with data sheets, Project specifications, P&IDs, and other project-specific documents shared by customer to determine project requirement.
- You will do preliminary Sizing, and select suitable products based on the customers' needs and support the Application Engineering Team in developing Process Flow Diagram & appropriate Technical & Commercial proposals.
- You combine keen interest in complex engineering requirement & international standards related to our product with commercial flair.
- Ensure vendor registration of our products with the Oil and Gas end-users in the region is always updated.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency through involvement in new projects EPC’s & End Users from FEED stage to become their preferred supplier for Compressed air solution.
- Must have a clear understanding of competitors' activities/capabilities and developments which should support strategies.
- Consistent in C4C implementation of all sales and marketing activities to ensure accurate market information and customer database of assigned territory.
- Able to Prepare & deliver technical presentation to demonstrate technical features & highlight value addition to customers.
- Elevated level of self-motivation and an ability to work with a high-level of initiative in high- pressure situations.
- Promote the entire Atlas Copco’s portfolio of products and engineered systems within the Oil and Gas and coordinate with the respective product companies/ systems groups for the quoted packages.
- Participate in tenders, proposals from the Feed to Execution phase with a local proposal, and Airpower proposals team for firm jobs with local proposal engineers.
- Must be able with support from the Application Engineer to have clarity of the scope of supply and technical compliance.
- Negotiate contracts to obtain favorable commercial terms for Atlas Copco.
- Develop a detailed installed base of equipment with end-users and stimulate replacement opportunities.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports on the development and performance of the allocated region.
To succeed, you will need
- Fluent in English and command of Arabic and other languages is an advantage.
- Proven Experience in Oil & gas segment and related EPC customers.
- Knowledge and practical experience of software (including Autocad, MS office, MS Projects etc)
- Has excellent Interpersonal & Communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills in both virtual and face‑to‑face settings.
- Capability to plan and organize effectively.
- Must be able to understand and interpret flow diagrams, electrical schematics, and general arrangement drawings.
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge of Compressors, Gas generators , low pressure and high pressure air systems
