The Training Operations Specialist – Field Service plays a pivotal role in ensuring that global Field Service training operations run efficiently, consistently and in alignment with divisional standards.

The purpose of the role is not only to support existing operational needs but also to proactively identify inefficiencies, elevate visibility into compliance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance the global training ecosystem. By absorbing operational execution tasks, the Specialist supports the wider efforts of the Divisional training team to deliver governance, stakeholder alignment and long‑term field service capability development.

Short Description

Main Responsibilities (Give 6 to 8 main areas of work. State what is to be done –to what - the end result e.g. Develop, agree and implement detailed sales plans to increase market share in Europe):

  • Track compliance deviations to global training processes and support corrective action by gathering data and highlighting risks.
  • Maintain TC audit ready documentation (self-assessments, evidence packs, audit actions schedule).
  • Provide first level operational support for regional training questions.
  • Maintain structured, up to date SharePoint sites (Tech Academy).
  • Ensure version control, naming conventions and accessibility standards are followed.
  • Provide first line support for system queries before escalating to L&D or Instructional Design owners.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure regional skills data is current, accurate and compliant with expectations.
  • Document regional needs, issues and improvement suggestions.
  • Contribute to updates of processes and operational tools.
  • Support planning and operational coordination of the FSE of the Year competition, including data collection and preparation of evaluation materials.
  • Coordinate with regional training teams to maintain, update and structure assessment questions - task descriptions within the certification framework.
  • Track regional feedback on assessment content and flag required updates or risks to the Training Operations Manager.
  • Maintain the central repository of certification framework assessment tasks.
  • Create and maintain a network engagement with regional trainers to drive continuous improvements in training standards and sharing of best practices

Your day-to-day

The Training Operations Specialist supports a wide network of regional training teams across the Semiconductor Service Division. Operating within the decentralised training model, the role ensures day‑to‑day operational consistency, process adherence and readiness for audits, leadership reporting and regulatory compliance.

 

The role serves as an orchestrator of information across regions. The Specialist ensures that updates, changes, expectations and actions flow correctly between the Training Operations Manager and the regional training teams. They maintain a structured cadence of operational communication to keep all regions aligned.

 

This role requires strong operational discipline, curiosity and a proactive mindset to ensure that all regions meet the standards expected for the training of Field & Onsite Service Engineers-who rely on best‑in‑class technical training to support safe and effective customer operations.

 

Your skills and experience

Required

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Learning & Development, training coordination, quality assurance or technical administration environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to structure, organise and maintain complex datasets and documents.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Ability to follow established processes and identify risks or deviations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint).
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Desirable

    • Experience in engineering/manufacturing or technical training environments.
    • Experience supporting global or remote teams.
    • Understanding of adult learning principles.
    • Familiarity with Training Management Systems or LMS platforms.
    • CIPD or other training-related qualifications.
