Service Technician - APT

Your role
As a Service Technician - APT, you will work in a shop environment performing basic preventive maintenance, painting and repairs for pneumatic tools and light towers. This may include the “tear-down” and/or reassembly under supervision of units that are being remanufactured.
Main responsibilities include:
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on portable industrial equipment (including pneumatic tools and light towers) following manufacturer guidelines and with support from experienced technicians.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using a clear, step-by-step approach to find the root cause.
- Use forklifts and other lifting equipment as needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Follow all company safety standards, including proper use of PPE.
- Complete work on time with a focus on getting it right the first time.
- Maintain at least 85% utilization.
- Operate and maintain spray guns, painting equipment, and the paint booth.
- Complete touch-ups and paint corrections.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the paint booth.
- Keep adequate levels of shipping materials and supplies on hand.
- Package products and components for shipment.
- Follow all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, including company policies, safe work practices, PPE use, safety walks, quality checks, and environmental requirements.
- Read and use technical manuals and documentation.
- Record hours worked on jobs daily.
- Provide and maintain basic job-related tools in good working condition.
- Take part in technical training to build skills in equipment maintenance.
- Share knowledge and help train other technicians when needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

You have 1 - 2 years of experience of technical service experience performing basic preventative maintenance on handheld tools.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Desired skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- A basic level of understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Willingness to grow within the business.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
