Your role

Your mission is to drive innovation by developing cutting-edge control algorithms that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. You play a key role in shaping the future of our industry through advanced research, smart design, and development activities that ensure our products and processes are efficient, reliable, and environmentally sustainable. In this role, you design and develop innovative control algorithms tailored to customer and industry needs, ensuring all research and design methodologies follow scientific and engineering standards. 

 

You contribute to business plans and budgets for new products or features, and you validate control algorithms on simulators and products, analysing and interpreting test results to ensure full compliance with specifications and standards. You support stakeholders by troubleshooting and debugging issues and providing sustainable, long-term solutions. Staying up to date with industry developments, you translate emerging trends into practical opportunities for our products and customers. Throughout the development process, you monitor controls activities to ensure technical, functional, cost, and timing targets are achieved. Collaboration is central to this role, and you will work closely with colleagues worldwide, including teams in China and India. You report to the Team Leader Engineering of the Centrifugal Team.

  • Master's degree in Automation Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong background in MATLAB and/or Simulink calculations.
  • Solid understanding of thermodynamics is a plus.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong focus on time to market and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
