Your role

Ben jij de project leader die duurzame innovatie in compressorontwikkeling aanstuurt?

Wil jij als project leader een sleutelrol spelen in de ontwikkeling van de volgende generatie schroefcompressoren? Vanuit Wilrijk werk je on site op het hoofdkantoor van Atlas Copco Compressor Technique en rapporteer je aan de Product Engineering Leader binnen de Airtec Product Development-afdeling.

Als project leader leid je internationale productontwikkelingsprojecten van concept tot seriële productie. Samen met een multidisciplinair team van onder andere design engineers, test engineers, kwaliteitsspecialisten en productie-experts zorg je ervoor dat nieuwe compressoroplossingen voldoen aan de vooropgestelde doelstellingen op het vlak van timing, budget, kwaliteit en prestaties.

Naast het coördineren van het project bewaak je als project leader ook de technische samenhang van het ontwerp. Je zorgt ervoor dat alle stakeholders, van leveranciers en aankoop tot productie en interne klanten, op één lijn zitten en werkt continu aan een optimale balans tussen efficiëntie, betrouwbaarheid en kosteneffectiviteit.

Als project leader krijg je een zeer hands-on rol waarbij je niet alleen van achter je bureau werkt, maar ook nauw betrokken bent bij prototypebouw, testen en industrialisatie. Zo zie je jouw projecten evolueren van eerste concept tot succesvolle opstart in productie.

In deze functie krijg je als project leader alle kansen om je verder te ontwikkelen en mee te bouwen aan technologieën die wereldwijd worden ingezet in sectoren zoals manufacturing, automotive en oil & gas.

• You have a master in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as project leader/manager in a technical environment
• 2+ years of experience in a product development context
• You have a technical background, preferably in mechanical engineering, supported by strong analytical skills.
• You communicate fluently in English.
• You are a team player who can work together with and motivate a project team.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco airpower site in Wilrijk, Belgium.
