Your Role
Job description
Within the Oilfree Division we started the development of products to reduce the customer’s carbon footprint. Today the technologies are available to be able to convert waste heat again to useable energy.
Within the Emerging Products team we are going to develop innovative standard products for these applications based on existing blower and compressor systems.
Your mission is to contribute to the successful delivery of steam projects within the Oil-free Air Division.
Within the product team you will cooperate with project engineers (mechanical, electrical, calculations) and designers. You will also collaborate with test engineers and mechanics in the prototype test lab and with design review. Furthermore, you will lead a cross functional project team in which marketing, purchasing, production, service and engineered solutions will be represented. Together you will drive the product development projects towards successful completion.
Your main responsibility will start with analyzing and summarizing technical challenges and opportunities in order to define project scope, timing and budget. Followed by actual project execution where the tasks consist of:
• Chair project meetings
• Lead unit conceptualization, design activities, qualification plan
• Execute and check component specification and selection
• Coordinate lab and field activities
• Close follow-up with all involved departments: production, marketing, purchasing, service, etc.
• Reporting status to management through reports and presentations
• Support other product companies with localization of designs.
At the end of the project, it is expected that knowledge is captured and shared across the relevant parties inside the company.
To succeed, you will need
Experience
• Solid technical background
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Experience with steam applications would be an advantage
Knowledge/Educational requirements
• Master degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience
• Experience in a technical environment
Personality requirements
• Analytical mindset and aiming for perfection
• Strong communication skills to different tiers in the organisation including management reporting.
• Knowledge of English is mandatory, Dutch is preferred.
• Self-driven and able to motivate and inspire a team
• Up to date with latest technological and market evolutions
