Your role

As a Project engineer engineering : controls, your mission is to contribute to the development of control and monitoring solutions that enable compressors to communicate, generate insights, and interact with their environment. Your work directly supports the evolution towards state-of-the-art smart compressors with advanced control logic and connectivity.. You will report to the team leader engineering smart compressor team.

You will

  • collaborate on the development of core control logic and application layers for compressor controllers such as Nano, Mk5, and Mk6.

  • help integrate parameter management, safety logic, and communication interfaces into control models, while contributing to interface design and functional specifications. 

  • work closely with software development teams and module competence teams to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with product requirements

  • provide technical support to local product teams and collaborate with the service division to ensure smooth application and deployment in the field.

  • increasingly evaluate new ideas, concepts, and technologies for both technical and economic feasibility, working together with global peers.

  • Share your knowledge and actively contribute to building and spreading competence within the organization

  • Master’s degree in automation engineering, electromechanics, control engineering, or a related field
  • Practical knowledge of control logic and PI(D) control concepts
  • Hands-on experience with Matlab and/or Simulink for modeling and control development
  • Basic understanding of data analysis or data mining concepts
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco airpower site in Antwerp, Belgium (BE).
