Project Leader Outbound Logistics - Industrial Air division

  

 

Job description :

 

In order to further optimize the way we deliver our products to our customer, we are looking for a Project Leader Outbound Logistics - Industrial Air division.

In this position it will be your mission to contribute to the further development and optimization of the worldwide outbound supply chain of Industrial Air division,
with the ambition to become the competence center for outbound product flow from IAT Product Companies to our final customer.

 

You will continuously manage, review and optimize the outbound product flows. The projects you will be managing can be situated in any domain related to the worldwide supply chain of machines.

 

You will take the lead and ownership to manage projects supporting, optimizing and setting up:

° Supply chain mapping and fit gap analysis of the current supply chain

° inventory (FG) management systems

° supply chain models

° intercompany and outbound flows for machines

° warehouse models for equipment

 

for the worldwide network of IAT Product companies, Distribution centers and Customer centers in order to :

° optimize the service level to our global customers

° reduce the divisions logistics and working capital cost

° minimize the impact of transport on the environment

 

You will work closely together with the IAT Product companies, Customer centers, Distributions centers and CT logistics to coordinate improvement actions and project initiatives to further develop and optimize the outbound supply chain setup for IAT Equipment.

 

You will create transparency in the outbound supply chain by developing and roll-out a global logistic dashboard with related Key Performance Indicators.

 

You will develop and roll-out the concept of Outbound Logistic Review Meetings (ORM) in close cooperation with the logistic management functions in the different local IAT Product companies and Customer Centers.

 

You will align where feasible with CT logistics on software support tools (e.g. global stock management, global reporting tools, …) to allow for maximum user and cost efficiency into a broader perspective

 

You will embed IAT from a logistical point of view within the global Atlas Copco eco system, like e-commerce, shop online, master data management and the new HUB (=dispatch replacement)

 

 

The business travel involved in this role forms for you an added value rather than a burden.

In this position you will report to the VP Operations Industrial Air Division (Rudy Verstrepen)

 

 

 

Experience requirements :

 

Experience in supply chain & logistics area and in process-analysis is a plus.

Demonstrable success in delivering process improvement projects

Ability to influence at all levels

 

Knowledge :

 

Broad knowledge on outbound logistic supply chain processes (incl. inventory management systems)

Good understanding FAM and other Atlas Copco internal procedures.

Sound knowledge of IT tools as well as ERP systems (PC BCPS / CC & DC SAP) is required

Keen interest in the culture and the way of doing business in different countries

 

 

Educational requirements :


University degree in logistics or Production Management or similar through experience.
Very good command of English. Additional languages are an advantage.
