Are you a technical expert who loves solving complex problems and wants to play a crucial role in developing new products?
As a Technical Support Specialist / Expert, your mission will be to resolve complex technical issues and represent the service division during new compressor development projects. You will ensure we understand our customers' needs and provide the equipment and services to support those needs.
In this role, you will provide 3rd line technical support to solve complex technical issues at customer sites. Your main point of contact will be the local support specialist who handles 2nd line support, and you may be required to go on-site if problems cannot be solved locally. Continuously improving product quality through proactive reporting follow-up is also crucial. This involves analyzing warranty reports, failure reports, and the behavior of our connected equipment. You will be the driving force in technical committee meetings (TCM) and participate in product quality meetings (PQM).
Additionally, you will play an active role in product development to ensure the highest level of serviceability and the lowest lifecycle cost by being strongly involved in project team meetings (PTM and PCM). Developing and providing technical training, troubleshooting guidelines, and video instructions in line with our divisional strategy is another key responsibility. Furthermore, you will collaborate with different departments, including marketing, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
As a Technical Support Specialist/ Expert you will report to the technical support manager.
To succeed, you will need
- An Engineering Degree or equivalent through experience
- Technical knowledge of compressors
- A customer oriented view and a strong drive to solve issues as quickly as possible
- A pragmatic approach to new challenges and the ability to rapidly switch tasks depending on priorities
- Willingness to take short trips abroad
