Your role

Within the Service division of Compressor Technique, our strategic focus is to ensure optimal availability of components and services so that our clients are serviced efficiently and on time. With significant investments in IoT and digital services, we are accelerating our digital capabilities by connecting compressors to the cloud. Today, over 300,000 compressors are connected, generating valuable data that helps optimize service intervals and create new sales opportunities. To meet the daily demand for aftermarket orders, we rely on a strong, well-organized supply chain. Continuous investment in supplier relationships and product innovations is therefore crucial.

In this role, you are responsible for supplier relationship management and purchasing spend for service products, including consumables such as lubricants, filters, and belts. You will explore and optimize both new and existing supply chains, guided by six pillars of purchasing excellence: total cost, quality, logistics, product and process development, contracting, and sustainability.

You will develop a robust purchasing strategy aligned with divisional targets to support optimized customer service. Gaining technical knowledge across various commodities, suppliers, and manufacturing processes is key, as is active participation in projects for aftermarket compressors and compressor rooms, ensuring budgets and timelines are met. You will identify and evaluate potential new suppliers, assessing their commercial, technical, and supply chain capabilities in accordance with the Atlas Copco business code, and lead negotiations for the renewal of supply agreements. By conducting market research and benchmarking the supply base, you will identify opportunities for savings and availability improvements, while also assessing potential supplier risks.

Collaboration with SQA engineers is essential to monitor supplier quality performance and implement improvements where needed. You will also evaluate logistical performance to ensure timely deliveries to customers.

You will join an inclusive team of Buyers and report directly to the Team Leader, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative working environment.

• Master’s degree in engineering, business or supply chain management

• Strong understanding of supplier management and sourcing processes

• Fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus

• Passion for innovation, technology and sustainable sourcing

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

• Knowledge of AS400 or SAP is an asset
