Your role

Are You Our Next Site Coordinator?

Do you enjoy solving technical problems, building strong customer relationships, and helping keep manufacturing operations running smoothly? If you're someone who can think critically, communicate effectively, and serve as a trusted technical resource, we'd love to have you on our team.

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you'll serve as the primary Atlas Copco representative at our customer site, partnering closely with the General Motors team to support their assembly tool operations. Unlike a traditional repair technician role, you'll work alongside GM's union tool repair specialists—providing technical guidance, troubleshooting expertise, and recommendations to help diagnose issues and optimize tool performance.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Partner with the Customer: Build strong relationships with GM production, maintenance, and tool repair teams while serving as the on-site Atlas Copco technical expert.
  • Respond to Production Issues: Provide timely technical support during line disruptions, helping diagnose problems and recommend solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Advise on Tool Troubleshooting: Work collaboratively with GM's union repair specialists by assisting with diagnostics, interpreting fault codes, and recommending repair procedures and corrective actions.
  • Support Tool Performance: Assist with tool installations, configuration, software updates, and optimization to ensure equipment performs reliably and efficiently.
  • Promote Preventative Maintenance: Recommend maintenance best practices, monitor tool health, and help identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Communicate Effectively: Keep customers informed, coordinate with internal Atlas Copco teams when additional support is needed, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.

This position is based at our customer, General Motors in Arlington, TX, and operates on 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). The position generally includes working Saturdays, resulting in an average workweek of approximately 49–50 hours. Schedule flexibility is required to support operational demands.

If you enjoy being the technical expert customers rely on, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and solving complex equipment challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

To succeed, you will need

  • Experience: 2-3 years in a production environment with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling, or data collection systems.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and comprehend schematics. Proficiency in MS Office, networking, and database systems.
  • Physical Requirements: Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

In Return, We Offer You:

At Atlas Copco, we know that work is more than just a job. Here’s what we offer to keep you happy, healthy, and inspired:

  • Professional Development: Opportunities for growth, training, and career advancement.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and more.
  • Financial Security: 401(k) with up to 6% company match.
  • Work-Life Balance: 15+ days of paid time off, a generous holiday package, and flexible schedules.
  • Family Support: Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave.
  • Wellness Perks: Gym, Education, and Health Reimbursements.
