Join Edwards Korea Ltd as a Mechanical Engineer, NPI Integrated Systems (SAVAS) in our Semiconductor Division. In this dynamic role within the Research and Development function, you will spearhead the design, testing, and refinement of next-generation vacuum technology products tailored to meet the demands of modern semiconductor manufacturing. Reporting to the department leader, you will be instrumental in bringing innovative concepts from early development stages through to successful full-scale production, ensuring precision engineering and quality in every deliverable.
Short Description
As a key contributor to the Vacuum Technique business area, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, leveraging your mechanical engineering expertise to develop integrated system solutions that are reliable, efficient, and scalable. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend creativity, technical skill, and strategic thinking within a global production environment, advancing technologies that support critical industry standards.
Your day-to-day
- Lead the conceptualization and engineering of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, developing detailed mechanical designs and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to validate prototypes, troubleshoot technical challenges, and optimize product functions.
- Contribute to risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout the development process.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, adjusting plans to align with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of emerging technologies and techniques in mechanical engineering and vacuum systems.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Proven experience in product development within semiconductor or vacuum technology industries is highly desirable.
- Strong CAD and simulation software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS).
- Excellent problem-solving ability with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within multifunctional teams.
