Your role

As a Planning Engineer at Edwards Korea, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing production processes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. You will collaborate closely with multiple departments, including Sales, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Care, and Quality Control (QC), to consolidate internal Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). Your responsibilities will involve liaising with teams to understand customer orders, assess inventory levels, production capacity, and materials availability to formulate comprehensive production plans aligned with business goals.

You will take charge of initiating purchase requests and material dispatch via ERP systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records to support supply continuity. Additionally, you will oversee subsidiary materials procurement and ensure adherence to standard operational procedures for production efficiency improvements. Monitoring production workforce proficiency including third-party assembly suppliers is essential to maintain high-quality output and adjust resources dynamically based on operational demands. Furthermore, you will coordinate with stakeholders to confirm manufacturing availability dates (MAD) in SAP and guarantee customers receive reliable delivery commitments.

An essential part of your role is managing comprehensive production data across various platforms such as file servers, ERP, and SAP to facilitate analysis, reporting, and continuous process enhancements. You will engage in ongoing efforts to update standard data to reflect evolving manufacturing circumstances and contribute to the development of a data-driven production environment.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in production management and production planning is advantageous, particularly in engineer-to-order or custom product manufacturing environments.
  • Skills: Proficiency with production management principles, SAP or similar production systems, and ERP systems is essential. Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills across various organizational levels and cultures.
  • Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with abatement and ACM systems, and semiconductor manufacturing processes are desirable.
