Technical Support - CS Integrated Systems

Join Edwards Korea Ltd, a leading company in the Vacuum Technique business area located in Asan, Korea, Republic of, as a Technical Support specialist within our Semiconductor Division. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge production and support activities in an engineering-focused environment as part of our Edwards Korea – PC Asan department.

Your Role

  • Conduct comprehensive technical investigations on a wide range of product issues, identifying root causes and delivering effective solutions to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Take ownership of technical solutions for complex challenges or collaborate closely in projects aimed at resolving customer problems, ensuring high standards of satisfaction and quality.
  • Provide expert technical knowledge and support for existing products and applications, facilitating ongoing improvements and updates.
  • Deliver basic training and ongoing guidance to local engineering teams, empowering colleagues with critical skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze product issues continuously, engaging in structured problem-solving activities to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives by offering insightful technical advice and leveraging your expertise to optimise processes and reduce expenditure.
  • Assist in Fit & Function testing, ensuring products meet specified requirements and function reliably in intended applications.
  • Develop detailed test plans and comprehensive reports covering validation and reliability assessments to inform product development and quality assurance.

About You

  • Educational Background: You hold a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Experience: You bring 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in fields such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, or vacuum engineering, with a clear ability to navigate time, cost, and quality constraints effectively. Your experience includes direct interaction with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Proficient in creating technical support objectives and plans that align with business and operational goals.
    • Strong understanding of technical support processes and product creation processes (PCP), enabling efficient workflow and solution delivery.
    • Familiarity with standard office software such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, facilitating professional communication and documentation.
    • Competent in spoken and written English at a basic to intermediate level, facilitating effective communication with international stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
    • Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and suppliers with professionalism and clarity.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities within an engineering context, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to challenges.
    • A strong understanding that customer satisfaction is paramount for success, guiding your service orientation and technical decisions.
