Your role

As a Technology Manager, your mission is to lead the integration and future development of the local technology team into the Global Vacuum Technique Technology Group (VTTG). Your mission is to build a high‑performing team capable of delivering innovative global technology solutions across Advanced Chemical Management (ACM), integrated systems, and abatement — helping secure our leadership in the semiconductor market. You will report to the Core Technology Manager. This is a strategic, highly influential role that blends technology leadership, team development, innovation management and cross‑functional collaboration across global stakeholders.

 

You will:

  • Drive successful integration of the Asan technology team into the VTTG structure and ways of working.
  • Build, develop and motivate a skilled team to deliver innovative technology project targets in line with VTTG objectives.
  • Establish strong alignment with PC Asan leadership, SIA Product Management, and global Engineering teams to ensure visibility, adoption and delivery of the technology roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain a robust Technology Roadmap focused on local product needs not covered elsewhere in the organisation.
  • Provide safe, effective local facilities supporting innovation activities.
  • Manage costs, headcount planning, materials and capex in line with VTTG budget expectations (circa $1m oversight).
  • Deliver highly innovative, disruptive technology solutions feeding into NPI programmes worldwide.
  • Collaborate across internal and external networks to monitor emerging technologies, competitor landscape and industry trends.
  • Safeguard intellectual property and ensure full compliance with safety, governance and best‑practice processes.
  • Contribute to global engagement activities and foster an environment where innovation thrives.

You have 10+ years of experience, working in technology or technical management within a high‑technology environment, ideally in chemical management or processing.

 

  • Degree‑level education or higher in an engineering or science discipline.

  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, reaction kinetics, heat transfer, flow behaviour, and analytical gas‑phase methods (e.g., FT‑IR spectrometry).

  • Experience with materials compatibility in oxidising and acidic environments.

  • A proven ability to manage complex technical projects, overcome challenges and deliver on time to specification.

  • Leadership strengths: able to build cohesive teams, influence stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Commercial awareness to identify technology opportunities and shape effective innovation plans.
