Sales Engineer - Optimization

Your role
As a Optimization Sales Consultant, your mission is to drive sales growth for our service business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. Reporting to the Regional Sustainability BDM, you will work closely with the engineering and service product teams to implement effective optimization sales strategies.
You will:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities for OES products through customer visits, process audits, automatic leads (SmartLink, Sales Planner), and regional market analysis.
• Actively participate in joint customer meetings with service/equipment sales engineers
• Prepare and present compelling value propositions focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and total cost of ownership.
• Visit customers to assess needs, present optimization solutions, and close sales opportunities.
• Follow up on sales pipeline and ensure accurate CRM reporting of opportunities and quotation status.
• Collect and analyze measurement data (energy audits, flow measurements, system assessments) to identify optimization potential.
• Discuss technical findings and proposed solutions with the Energy Consultant and Sales Engineers (SEs) to define the best technical and commercial approach.
• Maintain and develop the OES tools portfolio, ensuring correct application and and continuous improvement of optimization methodologies.
• Support customers with technical issues related to OES solutions.
• Support Sales Engineers in building strong value propositions and business cases.
• Perform joint visits with CTE, CTS, and AGA teams to strengthen cross-functional cooperation.
• Coordinate follow-up actions on pipeline opportunities to ensure alignment across divisions.
• Coordinate with Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to ensure proper implementation and commissioning of OES products.
• Interact closely with RBDM and EC to align strategy, pricing, and technical positioning.
• Provide post-installation follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and performance validation.
• Maintain technical knowledge of the OES portfolio and act as the local reference point for optimization solutions.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales position
• Solid knowledge of industrial product applications
• Excellent command of the local language and good command of English
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Valid clean driving license required
• University degree in Engineering or another technical university degree is strong advantage.
• An MBA or a Masters in a related field is an additional plus;

Job location
This role is based in Greece, with flexibility for remote work within the region. In addition to regular customer visits, the position requires frequent presence at our Athens office to support close collaboration with internal teams and ensure alignment on business priorities.
