The Role

Responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts to exact engineering requirements and aligning with standard operating procedures to meet customer expectations of quality, cost and on-time delivery.

- Understand the sequence of the build in line with requirements.

- Read and interpret assembly drawings.

- Fit and assemble components to meet production requirements.

- Determine the correct equipment and methods to use.

- Participation and involvement with Company Quality Procedure and Standards, ensuring timely identification, communication and recording of all quality issues.

- Responsible for ensuring all work is undertaken in a safe manner and in line.

- Always maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company EHS standards.

What we expect of you? 

  1. ITI Fitter / Electrician.
  2. Minimum 3 years relevant experience in related field. Applicants who are already working as assembly Fitter will have added advantage.
  3. Knowledge Areas:

- Committed team player.
- High levels of energy and drive.
- Positive attitude.

  1. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  2. Skilled at using manual hand tooling and battery powered hand tooling.
  3. Good communication and teamworking skills.
  4. Responds positively to operational changes.
  5. Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.

 

Computer proficiency - MS Office & Office 365 Knowledge.

Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams.

Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.

Ability to work independently without much supervision.

Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Any person with prior injury/disability will not be considered.
