Your role

A high-quality IT service is a must to stay competitive in an increasingly interconnected world. Atlas Copco’s digital journey continues, to enable us to run business at full speed. To ensure we can deliver this in North and South America, we are now looking for a Project Manager who will be expected to actively drive all projects and programs under their responsibility while delivering expected business benefits within the approved timeline, budget and scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop project plans that outline scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocations. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Team Management: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, assign tasks, and monitor progress. Foster a collaborative environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, issues, and changes. Gather and respond to feedback.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensure cost control, and report any variances to stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and fulfill requirements. Implement processes for quality reviews and acceptance testing.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, goals, and timelines by coordinating with stakeholders and assessing impacts.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, meeting notes, status reports, and lessons learned.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure projects comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Measurement: Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to track progress and performance metrics. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
  • Best Practices: Promote the use of good project management practices in the Atlas Copco Group not just by “leading by example” but also by playing consulting or trainer roles to any organization that might require support with their own projects or project management processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute, in cooperation with other Project Managers, to the continuous improvement of standard project management processes and tools.

To succeed, you will need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field of Project Management
• PMP and CSM certification preferred
• Fluency in Portuguese, both spoken and written, is essential; proficiency in English is required.
• Experience successfully managing technical IT projects.
• Strong management experience with a proven track record of leading teams.
• Extensive knowledge or understanding of the various technologies available in the industry, providing a good general understanding of IT.
• Experience effectively managing, motivating, and empowering people.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of internal policies.
• Working knowledge of the value and use of standard IT processes and methodologies (such as ITIL, PMI, and SDLC).
• Comfort working in a highly matrixed global environment.
• Ability to implement operational standards and metrics. 
• Partner with other service teams and third-party vendors, sometimes in close collaboration with Strategic Sourcing.

Job location

Hybrid work model: This opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to combine remote and in-person work located in Barueri. It's important to note that the office is expected to move to Itu in 2027.
