If you're as tough, dependable and reliable as the compressors we make, then you're the right fit for Quincy Compressor. We are currently seeking a Financial Business Analyst to join our team!  This position is based out of our Bay Minette, AL location.

 

The Financial Business Analyst reports to the Business Controller and is responsible for supporting and assisting in key accounting and business control activites for the day to day operations.  This would include analysis of key areas such as service, sales, cost of good sold, inventory stocktakes, receivable and payables. 

 

Principle Duties:

  • Support inventory and WIP strategies as set down by Management & monitor inventory levels
  • Overall analytic metric reporting including Inventory Levels, E&O reporting, and Usage Reports.
  • Communicate results and recommendations to all levels of the organization is a critical success factor.
  • Month-end accounting for WIP & Inventory
  • Development of supporting analytical tools and reports
  • Support month-end processing and participation in a team environment with the objective of on time reporting
  • Prepaid rent allocation and reconciliation
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts as directed by the Business Controller.
  • Assist with annual and/or cyclical stocktaking and variance analysis and investigation.
  • Responsible for the SAGE Fixed Assets and management for the entire customer center and includes the balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Responsible for regular, repetitive reporting and distribution to various operation and sales manager, direct regions and/or distributor offices. 
  • Responsible for ad-hoc reporting and data collection as required.
  • Standard cost updates
  • Assist with updating and recording of spending authorizations to meet corporate guidelines.
  • Analyze weekly freight bills.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 
  • 4 to 8 years experience in a Manufacturing and/or Multi-National company environment preferred

 

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to identify trends, discrepancies, or changes in financial results and metrics and to explain complicated accounting, quantitative and qualitative problems a must.
  • BPCS experenince a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be super proficient in Excel
  • Positive Attitude
