We are looking for a Collections Specialist for to join our team on our journey to a better tomorrow.
Your role
Your mission as a Collections Specialist is to work with customer to resolve payment discrepancies, collaborate with internal departments, and provide comprehensive reports to support credit and collections management, contributing to organizational success. You will report to the Credit Controll Manager.
- You will determine action to be taken in collection of past due customer and initiate timely collection activities via phone calls and/or collection letters.
You will add and release Overall Account blocks to customer accounts that are in delinquent status. - You will provide additional details or backup documentation to 3rd Party Collections Agency as needed. Investigates discrepancies with customers and assign disputes to appropriate person for resolution.
- You will send Dunning Notices and Statements as required on all customer accounts.
- You will provide a Weekly Open Dispute Report to Customer Center Management.
- You will process customer credit card payments when requested by customer via phone or email.
- You will provide copies of invoices upon customer request or other backup documentation needed to get invoice paid.
- You will attend monthly A/R Meetings with Sales Managers and Credit Analyst for assigned accounts.
To succeed, you need
- You have an Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent experience - 5 years experience in a Credit/Collection position with a manufacturing firm.
- You have customer service experience.
- You have a high level of professional verbal and written communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
- You have 5 years experience in a Credit/Collection position with a manufacturing firm preferred
- You have an Associates Degree in business or equivalent experience (5 years)
- You are an independent self-starter with a positive attitude.
- You are customer service oriented, have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- You have a high level of professional verbal and written communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
