Warehouse Associate

Basic Function:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving inbound freight, unloading trucks, pulling and transferring parts to assembly lines, and efficiently stocking and restocking parts.
Principle Duties:

Prioritize safety in all tasks, contributing to a culture of safety.

Operate warehouse equipment for receiving, storing, and shipping parts, including forklifts and order selectors.

Utilize scanners to move materials from receiving to the warehouse and from the warehouse to assembly lines.

Package finished products for shipping, including tasks like shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.

Pick and transfer kit components to assembly lines.

Stage parts for loading and load finished products onto trucks.

Unload incoming parts and move them to warehouse storage.

Organize and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to specific criteria like size, type, or product code.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Accountability:

This position reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environment preferred
-
Forklift experience required
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds of weight.
-
Must be able to climb, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, push loads and work at moderate heights.

Must have good depth perception and be able to operate power lift truck safely.

Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Must be flexible and a team player.

Must be able to read paperwork and box markings, write legible and transfer numbers accurately.

Must be able to use hand tools required for the job.

Physical Demands:

Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking).

Lifting of items (not to exceed 50 lbs.).
Personal Protective Equipment:

While on shop floor, must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times.

No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc. That could get caught in machines.
Work Environment:
-
Mainly a plant environment, with some office exposure.
-
Exposed to any number of elements (heat, cold), but none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
