EU Field Service Engineer - Steam

Your role
Atlas Copco Rental Europe is part of the Atlas Copco Group and specialized in the rental of temporary compressed air, nitrogen, power, and temperature solutions for industrial customers across Rental Europe South-West Region. Our rental and service organization supports a wide range of industries, including oil & gas refining, manufacturing, and power generation.
Through close European cooperation, Atlas Copco Rental has access to an extensive rental fleet and delivers tailored customer solutions supported by 24/7 service.
As a European Service Engineer with specialized expertise in the (de)commissioning, servicing, and repairing of steam, hot water, and warm water boilers, your main focus will be to support and follow-up on projects for our industrial customers across Rental Europe South-West Region—from start-up through project completion—to ensure flawless operation.
Our rental fleet includes electric and diesel-driven compressors, dryers, generators, boilers, chillers and accessories. In this role, you will be responsible for the boiler rental fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of boiler-related projects throughout Rental Europe South-West Region
- Lead the installation, (de)commissioning and start-up activities of steam, hot water, and warm water boiler systems and applications
- Document procedures and develop technical manuals, in close collaboration with our experts
- Conduct in‑depth diagnostics and perform repairs when required
- Act as the primary point of contact for specialty boiler applications
- Perform preventative maintenance activities in our HUB locations and customer site
- Collaborate closely with steam specialists within ECO and Atlas Copco Rental
- Share expertise by delivering practical training to our local technicians
After a comprehensive onboarding and training period, you will participate in the 24/7 service and availability rotation for our Rental Europe South-West Region customers. This role reports to the EU Service Team Leader.
To succeed, you will need
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent through experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience; field service experience is a strong advantage
- Specialized knowledge and hands‑on experience in repairing, servicing and commissioning steam, hot water and warm water boilers
- Working proficiency in English
- Comfortable working with standard MS365 applications and Salesforce
- Strong administrative skills; able to independently produce manuals, training content, and technical drawings, while keeping deadlines and maintaining high quality standards
- Valid driving license
