Senior Node.JS Developer

Your role

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.  

• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.  

• Develop and manage RESTful APIs and microservices.  

• Implement serverless solutions using Azure Functions.  

• Develop and maintain applications hosted on Azure App Services and Azure Web Apps.  

• Integrate applications using Azure Service Bus for asynchronous messaging.  

• Work with Azure Storage (Blob Storage, Table Storage, Queue Storage) and Azure database services.  

• Design efficient database schemas and write optimized SQL queries.  

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.  

• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.  

• Follow coding standards, best practices, and CI/CD processes.  

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Experience: 6-9 Years

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience developing enterprise-grade applications using Node.js and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong cloud development and backend engineering expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js (7+ years preferred).
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.

Microsoft Azure

Hands-on experience with:

• Azure App Service
• Azure Web Apps
• Azure Functions
• Azure Service Bus
• Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table)
• Azure SQL Database and/or other Azure database services

Preferred:

• Azure Monitoring & Diagnostics
• Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Database

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL).
• Database design and query optimization.

Software Engineering

• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with Git-based source control.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of SOLID Principles.
• Knowledge of common Design Patterns.

Good to Have

• Experience using GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools.
• Exposure to Power BI.
• Exposure to Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience with SAP HIP middleware.
• Basic knowledge of Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Knowledge of application performance tuning and monitoring.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-204, or equivalent) are an added advantage.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco office (ODC) in ITPL Main road, Mahadevpura, Whitefiled, Bengaluru in India.
