Project Based Senior Tax Accountant
As an Accountant, your mission is to manage and execute all activities related to VAT refund applications, including VAT audits, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and optimizing internal processes for efficient tax recovery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing and executing VAT refund applications in compliance with local tax regulations, preparing and reviewing supporting documentation, and coordinating with external tax consultants and authorities. You will monitor and follow up on VAT refund statuses, evaluate and enhance internal processes related to VAT documentation, and prepare and submit periodic VAT reports while reconciling them with financial statements. Additionally, you will assist in audit preparations for income tax, VAT, and withholding tax, liaise with tax authorities, and respond to audit queries. Providing tax guidance on VAT, withholding tax, and income tax implications, supporting group-level tax reporting and consolidation, and aiding the Business Controller with ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks are also key responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements is integral to this role.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Professional certifications like CPA, CTA, or similar are a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in VAT management, tax compliance, or related finance work, preferably in a large or international organization
- Good knowledge of local VAT laws and procedures, including tax audits
- Experience in preparing and submitting VAT refund applications and reports accurately
- Strong analytical skills for financial review, reconciliation, and improving processes
- Excellent communication skills for working with tax authorities, consultants, and teams
- Very detail-oriented and trustworthy with sensitive financial data
- Proficient in accounting and tax software, MS Office, especially Excel
- Able to adapt to new tax rules and improve internal processes
- Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently
