Atlas Copco Philippines Inc. is seeking a highly capable and experienced Tax Manager to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring full compliance with tax regulations while supporting strategic financial planning and risk management. The successful candidate will lead all tax-related activities, including BIR audits, VAT claims, and statutory reporting, and will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on tax matters.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and oversee the submission of all tax filings, including income tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives and compliant with local tax laws.
  • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Maintain and reconcile all tax-related accounts and documentation.
  • Provide expert advice on the tax implications of business decisions, contracts, and transactions.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Credit & Collection, Operations) to ensure tax compliance across all functions.
  • Support the training and development of finance staff on tax-related processes and updates.
  • Handle submission and management of local municipal taxes, head office and branch taxes, and other local tax obligations.
  • Act as SEC filer for Audited Financial Statements (AFS), General Information Sheet (GIS), and other regulatory reporting requirements

 

To succeed, you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax management, preferably in a multinational or large corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, including VAT and corporate income tax.
  • Proven experience in handling tax audits and working with tax authorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
