Business Line Manager- Service
Your role
Have you got what it takes to ensure excellent customer service with some of the UK’s leading manufacturers, and lead a business of around £10 mill with a team of 50 people into further profitable growth?
In line with our ambitious growth targets and huge potential of the UK market we are now looking for a highly qualified and motivated Business Line Manager for the Service Division. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in one of the most challenging and exciting markets in the world.
Based in the UK, you will develop, implement, and execute an effective service strategy across all areas of the business. You will have direct responsibility for the Sales & Operations of the service team in the UK and Ireland (including P&L and balance sheet responsibility). The operations are based at a Central Service Center in Wolverhampton and at various customer sites. You are also responsible to develop the service business in our distribution channels.
Reporting to General Manager CC GBI, you are expected to ensure the UK has world class service operations and a market leading customer value proposition. Your responsibilities will include revenues and profit growth, performance and development of the service team, development of service partners in the region, and ultimately customer satisfaction.
Mission
Your mission will be to grow the service and calibration business within the UK & Ireland for advanced tightening, industrial assembly and vision equipment, quality assurance, software, automation and data driven services. The priority is to deliver sustainable, profitable growth and our ambition is to be our customers strategic partner for production critical services, increasing their productivity, uptime or quality so that we become and remain "First in Mind, First in Choice" in all of customers in all segments in all regions.
In this challenging position, your responsibilities amongst others will include:
- Leading, controlling and managing the Business Line Service
- Developing and implementing overall Service strategies
- Coaching and motivating the local Service organization
- Developing and strengthening market position
- Control and follow-up of company targets for Service operations
- Develop the service operations, in order to achieve the service KPI’s
- String collaboration with the other UK business lines in order to increase the total business
- Lead and drive the sales organization for the growth of Service sales
- Develop and manage an aggressive growth strategy for the Service market segments
- Ulise customer satisfaction data and feedback to drive improvements across the business -
- Ensure that customer and employee satisfaction is the base for what we do
To succeed, you will need
We are looking for a passionate person with a successful background in service operations and sales, willing to implement an aggressive growth strategy. You should have proven strong leadership skills and a strong customer orientation also will be needed.
- Technically and commercially oriented
- Comfortable working at all levels of customer employees
- Excellent strategic, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership skills to coach, develop and motivate a large team.
Knowledge
- Need to be computer literate with standard office systems.
- Driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland
- Must be fluent in English
Educational requirements
- University degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.

Job location
This is a field based position, covering the UK with regular travel to customer sites, as well as the Hemel Hempstead Atlas Copco offices
