Atlas Copco Power Technique forms part of the Atlas Copco group, which was established in Sweden in 1873. The operations within the UK are, for the most part, dedicated to sales, service and installation. Atlas Copco Power technique has its UK head office in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a team of Service Engineers covering the country working on our complete range of portable compressors, generators, pumps, lighting towers and battery storage systems.

Your role:

To contribute to the profitability of our business by providing professional and efficient service of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Equipment. You will report to the Power Technique Service Operations Manager and provide service and maintenance on customers' machines. This is a field-based position. The candidate must be based in the Midlands.

Your responsibilities are:

• Promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on BSES (Energy storage systems), Generators, Portable air compressors and pumps
• Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment, field and workshop-based.
• Carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
• Identify required parts to effect repairs.
• Complete job reports correctly and return them promptly.
• Required, to plan and organise daily and weekly visit schedules.
• Be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations in the workshop and on-site.
• Always apply good standards of engineering practice.
• Maintain test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition.
• Effectively promote the Atlas Copco Power Technique company image.
• Perform related responsibilities as required.

To succeed, you need:

• You will have current experience of repairing and servicing at least some of the following equipment:
  1. Energy Storage solutions
  2. Generators
  3. Battery expert
  4. Portable Air Compressors
  5. Pumps
  6. Lighting Towers
• You will have a good knowledge of the construction industry,
• You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with our teams and external partners.
• You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
• You can work both individually and be a valuable member of a team.
• You are enthusiastic and passionate, but you still work systematically and are focusing on delivering quality and results.
• You have a PC literate and hold a clean driving licence.
• You are fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
