Depending on your chosen apprenticeship, your programme will typically last between two and four years, combining structured learning with hands-on experience in the workplace. You will learn from experienced colleagues, develop practical and professional skills, and take on real responsibilities as you progress. Main Responsibilities –

• Work within Edwards and Atlas Copco Group health, safety, environmental and quality policies at all times.
• Complete the agreed Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship learning plan, including workplace evidence, off-the-job learning and progress reviews.
• Assist with mechanical sub-assembly tasks across areas such as WRU, TTWB, Mechanical Subs, Head and Bypass, spares and upgrades as competence develops.
• Learn to read and interpret mechanical drawings, build notes, bills of materials, labels and relevant production documentation.
• Carry out basic inspection and quality checks within the limits of training and authorisation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, Team Leaders, trainers, warehouse, quality and other manufacturing cells to support flow of work.
• Clock in and out of jobs accurately using the required system and maintain reliable attendance at work and training sessions.

• Commitment to completing a Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship and the required workplace evidence.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn in both workplace and training provider settings.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions, procedures and safety controls.
• Able to communicate clearly, ask questions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, build notes, bills of materials and assembly instructions.
• Selecting, checking and using appropriate hand tools, power tools, torque tools, fixtures and lifting equipment safely.
