Reporting directly to the Business Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring precise and compliant financial reporting. Short Description

This role is based in Bogota, Colombia, and integrates core accounting responsibilities with strategic financial collaboration across our organization. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of financial data and optimizing accounting procedures aligned with our commitment to operational excellence.

Your day-to-day

  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Record financial transactions in accordance with local regulations and Atlas Copco's internal policies, maintaining meticulous documentation for audit readiness.
  • Prepare comprehensive accounting reports and schedules for internal teams and external stakeholders, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, and consolidation reporting.
  • Support cost accounting and variance analysis to inform budgeting strategies and financial planning processes.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including timely credit and collections management to ensure steady cash flow.
  • Collaborate proactively with colleagues across finance and operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and to reinforce robust financial controls.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in Banking, Treasury, and Intercompany processes, preferably in a Shared Services or multi-country environment. 
  • Experience participating in monthly and annual financial closings, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of bank operations, intercompany reconciliations, and GL account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in SAP FI (Banking and Intercompany) or similar ERP systems. 
  • Advanced English level (B2+ / C1), written and spoken.
  • Solid analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with strong attention to detail and internal controls awareness (SOX).

Your location

  1. This role is based on-site at our office in Bogota, Colombia. The position will start with a fully on-site working model, and after a defined period, it will transition to a hybrid working arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site and remote work.
