In this role, your primary mission is to manage and optimize the cash application process to ensure accurate and timely allocation of customer payments. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing our finance operations and supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Short Description

As a Cash Apply Specialist at Atlas Copco Colombia Ltda, you will play a key role within the Finance department, contributing to the excellence and efficiency of our financial operations. Your collaboration will help maintain accurate cash flow records and support smooth financial transactions across the organization.

Your day-to-day

• Accurately apply customer payments to appropriate accounts in the financial system.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash application or payment postings.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Accounts Receivable and Customer Service to ensure accurate documentation and information flow.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline cash application workflows.
• Support month-end closing activities related to cash collections and reconciliations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of finance policies, systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to cash application.

Your skills and experience

• Proven experience in cash application or related finance roles, preferably within shared service centers or corporate finance environments.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance systems.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, especially those used for cash management and invoicing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt and learn new processes and tools in a fast-paced environment.
