Collection and Credit Specialist

Short Description

As a Collection and Credit Specialist within our FSC_Bogota department, you will drive the effectiveness of credit policies and collection strategies, ensuring timely payments and minimizing financial risk. This role requires close collaboration with internal finance teams and external customers, enhancing cash flow while maintaining strong, professional relationships.

Your day-to-day

• Evaluate customer creditworthiness through detailed analysis and data review
• Implement effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables
• Maintain accurate records and reports of credit and collection activities
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues
• Monitor compliance with credit policies and recommend adjustments as needed
• Support month-end closing processes and financial audits relating to credit and collections

Your skills and experience

• Experience in credit management, collections, or finance roles, preferably within corporate environments
• Strong analytical skills with ability to assess financial data and credit risk
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage customer relationships effectively
• Proficiency in finance and accounting software and tools
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities

1. This role is based on-site at our modern office located in Bogota, Colombia, enabling close collaboration with the Corporate Units team.
