You will join the OTC team within the Corporate Units of Atlas Copco Group, reporting directly to the department manager. In this role, your mission is to effectively manage and optimize the credit control and collection processes, ensuring healthy cash flow and minimal financial risk for the company. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our commitment to delivering excellent financial solutions to our customers while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance.

Short Description

As a Senior Credit and Collection Specialist at Atlas Copco, you will be responsible for overseeing credit evaluations, managing the collection activities, and collaborating with sales and finance teams to mitigate credit risk. Your expertise will directly contribute to the financial health and operational success of our operations in Bogota, Colombia.

Your day-to-day

• Conduct thorough credit assessments and approve credit limits in line with company policies.
• Manage overdue accounts by developing effective collection strategies while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, and legal to resolve payment issues.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prepare regular status updates for management.
• Identify and mitigate potential credit risks to safeguard company assets.
• Support process improvements to streamline credit and collection operations and enhance efficiency.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit & Collections, preferably in a Shared Services environment.
• Strong customer communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing overdue balances, disputes, and DSO follow-up.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Advanced English level (C1), written and spoken.
• Proficiency in SAP (AR/GL, FSCM preferred) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.

Your location

1. This role is based on-site at our office in Bogota, Colombia. The position will start with a fully on-site working model, and after a defined period, it will transition to a hybrid working arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site and remote work.
