Sr credit and collection specialist

Short Description
In the role of Sr Credit and Collection Specialist, you will leverage your financial acumen and interpersonal skills to streamline credit assessments and collection strategies within our Corporate Units business area. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact credit policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize customer relationships and company revenues.
Your day-to-day
- Conduct thorough credit evaluations to assess the financial stability of new and existing clients.
- Develop and enforce effective collection strategies ensuring timely recovery of outstanding debts.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to resolve disputes and customer payment issues professionally and efficiently.
- Analyse credit risks and recommend adjustments to credit limits and terms to mitigate exposure.
- Prepare periodic reports on credit and collection performance to inform management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, company policies, and local regulations.
Your skills and experience
- Proven experience in credit management or collections within a corporate finance environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in evaluating financial data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage client relationships and resolve payment issues.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and credit risk management best practices.
- Proficiency with credit and collection software tools and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse and cross-functional team environment.
