Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Your role

As a Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, your mission is to provide AutoCAD Electrical drafting and the E&I design function. The main deliverables of this role are CAD generated E&I drawings, reviewing and interpreting customer specifications, producing material requisitions, procedures and other contract documents which must be produced accurately and in accordance with project schedules. You will report to the Contract Manager.

You will

• Preparation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Preparation of sections of Operating and Maintenance Manuals associated with electrical items, motors, instruments, controls, control panels and valves.
• To provide AutoCAD Electrical drafting and the E&I design function for equipment items and packages that can be manufactured efficiently and economically whilst meeting the requirements of relevant legislation and project specifications.
• Providing support to bareshaft and replacment parts teams/orders, where required.
• To operate effective within the business ISO 9001 accredited quality management system.
• Supporting and maintaining correct archiving and storing of CAD related files in the Valut system.

To succeed, you will need

• Considerable experience of steam ejector system, liquid ring pump system and water injection deaerator design and drawing preferred.
• Knowledge of pressure vessel and heat exchanger fabrication, pressure vessel design codes, welding techniques and practices, non-destructive testing methods/procedures and PED requirements.
• Computer literate including effective use of MS Office software, including Microsoft Project.
• HND, HNC, BTEC or similar in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of MS office software especially Excel, Word and Project.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of CAD E&I drafting relating to process equipment and equipment packages.
• Experience and knowledge of electrical equipment, control systems, instruments and valves used on process packages within the offshore and petrochemical industries.
