Your role

As a Junior Product Data Management Technician (Temporary), your mission is to support the creation of commercial and non-commercial materials in SAP and assist in maintaining Master Data for Bills of Materials (BOMs). This includes ensuring materials are correctly allocated and grouped into buildable assemblies for production. The role also involves helping investigate and resolve data errors across departments, supporting Engineering Changes, and ensuring accurate updates to affected BOMs. You will report to the PDM Team Lead.

 

You will

 

  • Assist in creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP
  • Support the creation and maintenance of commercial/non-commercial part numbers in SAP
  • Help implement Engineering Changes (ECs) under guidance
  • Extract and prepare data for analysis
  • Provide data management support across multiple departments
  • Contribute to team process improvements
  • Assist in investigating and resolving production data issues
  • Generate basic operations KPI and status reports when required

Non-essential:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL or VBA for data validation
  • Interest in data analysis
  • Exposure to production/manufacturing engineering
  • Hands-on engineering experience (build or maintenance)
  • Ability to work remotely if required
  • Awareness of Lean Six Sigma principles

 

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus
  • Ability to manage and process data accurately
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn SAP
  • Experience or interest in engineering or manufacturing environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other MS Office applications
  • Ability to manage own workload with guidance and meet deadlines
