Senior Project Manager - NPI

Your role
As a Senior Project Manager - NPI, your mission is to be accountable for the delivery of assigned projects within a Programme, ensuring execution aligns to portfolio priorities, governance, and the Product Commercialisation Process (PCP). The role operates as part of a Programme structure, translating defined scope into predictable delivery of schedule, cost, quality, and risk, while escalating where required to maintain programme alignment. You will report to the Programme Manager - NPI
You will
- Deliver assigned projects in alignment with Programme objectives, portfolio priorities, and PCP governance.
- Project(s) complexity may include platform development, first of kind technologies, multi-site projects, and/or high-risk/strategic developments.
- Act as the primary delivery lead for project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality
- Translate programme direction and requirements into executable project plans and WBS structures
- Manage day-to-day execution of cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables
- Maintain and manage RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions), ensuring timely mitigation and escalation to Programme Manager
- Provide clear, consistent, and accurate project reporting into Programme governance forums (e.g. CPR)
- Manage project-level change control in line with programme governance and ensure alignment to evolving requirements
- Identify and communicate resource needs, constraints, and impacts, escalating conflicts to the Programme Manager
- Lead, mentor project managers and associate project managers. Support and provide coaching on best practices within project management.

- Have a recognised Project or Programme Management Qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, Prince2), or equivalent experience (Essential).
- Educated to Degree level in a suitable Technical/Engineering/Science discipline (Essential).
- Have significant experience of managing complex technical programmes or projects spanning multiple phases/years to time, spec, and cost and have experience in managing projects with software content (Essential).
- Must have demonstrated experience of influencing and managing across global teams (Essential).
- Must have excellent influencing and negotiation skills at multiple organisational levels (Essential).
- Must be able to analyse complex programme requirements and generate a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as part of high-level programme definition (Essential).
- Experience of project planning tools (such as Microsoft Project), processes and methodologies (Essential).
- Experience of RAID logs (Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions) (Essential).
- Able to set the standard and hold people accountable to deliver (Essential).
- Displays clear leadership and willing to take ownership and control of a situation and bring people with them even though they may not functionally report to them (Essential).

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in Bristol, United Kingdom (GB).
