Your role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your mission is to To ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality components, materials, and services from our suppliers, thereby guaranteeing the reliability, safety, and performance of our products. Through meticulous assessment, collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to establish robust quality standards, cultivate strong supplier relationships, and mitigate risks effectively, ultimately contributing to the overall success and reputation of our organization. You will report into a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer.

 

You will - 

  • Working within the Supplier Quality team to ensure Supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
  • Making continuous improvement plan and actions to enhance part`s quality and reduce number of non-conformities and the Cost of Poor Quality
  • Leading suppliers to be proactive on quality improvement actions with effective communication skill and closely communicate with related people in the company to embed requirements in each part.
  • Supporting the Strategic Buyers in selecting new suppliers (Approval Procedure, Supplier Risk Analysis, Supplier Assessment)
  • Assist with SESPA visits as and when required to introduce New Suppliers to the business.
  • Establishing long lasting and transparent relationship with suppliers

  • Sound electrical/mechanical engineering experience with clear basic knowledge of manufacturing processes / environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor essential
  • Experience of quality standards such as ISO9001, APQP, SPC, PPAP, quality tools is essential
  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies, such as: SPC, PPAP, 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto analysis, 6-Sigma, 8D, FMEA, Cause & Effect quality tools
  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards is beneficial
  • Very good understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes such as electro mechanical assembly, fabrication, including knowledge of defects and remedies for the processes
