Business Controller

Your role
Reporting to the General Manager of the Leybold EMEA Customer Centre, the role of the Business Controller is to support and advise the GM in performing business control tasks and to forecast, analyze and follow up the business development in the region, drive synergies amongst the CC countries and support the Management team and their sub-teams to reach their full potential.
The CC Business Controller will be acting as an important business partner and advisor for the sales, service and back office organizations, with a focus on driving sustainable profitable growth.
Main responsibilities:
• Your immediate focus will be partnering with the GM and leadership team in driving efficiency in the Customer Center Leybold EMEA as well as continuing to leverage the synergies identified before, during and after the integration and transformation of Leybold GV Customer Centre in accordance with the ‘’Way We Do Things’’.
• Overall control of the company’s financial performance, ensuring full compliance with FAM and local legal/statutory requirements
• Safeguard financial integrity, transparency, and internal controls to protect company assets
• Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and Management Team, enabling value focused decision making
• Translate financial results into clear business insights, highlighting performance drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Ensure forward looking financial planning, projections, KPIs, and scorecards to support sustainable growth
• Be a key member of the Customer Center Management Team, contributing to overall performance and professional image
Specific Responsibilities:
• Full responsibility for Customer Center Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and statutory books
• Preparation, review, and validation of management and financial reports within prescribed deadlines
• Oversight of customer credit management, collections, payments, and commercial risk evaluation
• Review and monitoring of customer credit terms and credit limits
• Ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of issues
• Responsibility for statutory audits, liaison with auditors, holdings, tax authorities, and advisers
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, insurance requirements, and asset stewardship
• Provide financial and commercial support to Sales, Service teams, and the General Manager, including financing solutions
• Drive cost control, Prokura adherence, and efficiency improvements
• Work closely with Brno GBS to ensure accurate, timely reporting and clear division of responsibilities
Transformation & Change Management:
• Partner with leadership to define, implement, and continuously improve the organization structure and operating model
• Support organizational development and cultural transformation initiatives
• Communicate changes clearly, ensuring understanding, engagement, and adoption of new processes
• Champion operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization
To succeed, you will need
Experience requirements
• Result-oriented and experienced professional (7+ years) with proven senior experience in business control, finance and business administration and good knowledge and experience of finance and business control according to the Way we do things.
• Significant experience in business controlling function in an european environment
• Previous experience with an Atlas Copco entity will be an asset.
Knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), SAP, BW, BPC.
• Good command of English in both writing and speaking.
Educational requirements
• Master degree in economics, finance or business & administration.
Personality requirements
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with the management and employees at all levels. Must possess strong leadership capabilities and the ability to empower members within the finance and admin team.
• The function may require travel in the region
• Experience and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with people and stakeholders in a matrix-organization
• Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from divisional management, the local teams and customers
• A high level or resilience needed with the ability to work under strict time constraints.

Location: within EU either close to GBS, CZ or a major Customer Centre site
Travel Requirements: This role involves frequent travels in the whole region
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site.
