Your Role

Are you ready to take automation to the next level? As an Automation Support Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of cutting-edge automation projects, ensuring seamless integration, commissioning, and support across the EMEA Region.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

🔹 Get Hands-On with Innovation – Dive into automation projects within the Automation Excellence Center (AEC) and be a key part of in-house commissioning and sign-offs.
🔹 Bring Projects to Life – Travel to customer sites for startup, commissioning, and training, ensuring smooth project handovers.
🔹 Be a Global Support Expert – Join the 24/5 Follow-The-Sun support team to assist customers worldwide with TechCover Automation maintenance contracts.
🔹 Bridge Teams & Expertise – Act as the link between Service, AEC, Automation Innovation Center, Application Center, and Product Companies to drive seamless automation solutions.
🔹 Train & Empower – Share your knowledge by training local service teams and customers during commissioning.
🔹 Ensure Excellence – Maintain high standards by reporting key activities in our CRM system, addressing quality issues, and following all IMS, OH&S, and compliance requirements.
🔹 Own Your Growth – Take charge of your professional development, staying ahead of the latest automation trends.

 
To succeed, you will need  

🎓Education & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with a strong background in automation.

  • At least 3 years of experience working in automation.

 

🌍Mobility

  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

  • Driving license B required.

 

🗣Languages:

  • Mandatory: Czech/Slovak & English (C1 level).

  • Beneficial: Any additional language.

 

🔧 Technical Skills

  • Expertise in automation-based production processes & mechatronics.

  • PLC Programming – CODESYS, Siemens PLC.

  • Fieldbus Systems – Ethernet-based networks.

  • Robot Programming & Teaching – Experience with at least one system.

  • Atlas Copco Systems – Tightening, vision, and screw feeder systems (training provided during onboarding).

  • Strong understanding of Windows OS, ticketing systems, and remote support.

  •  Ability to work with technical documentation and deliver hands-on technical training.

  • Electrical certification in line with local legislation.
