Cloud Engineer

Your role
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll join the Power Technique IT (PT IT) organization, which delivers key IT services supporting delivery teams across the Power Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco. You’ll work in a team focused on operations, security, and architecture - helping us build scalable, secure, and future ready cloud solutions.
Cloud Engineer provides resilient and efficient cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure that support and accelerate business objectives. This role continuously enhances operations and maintains stable, secure, and well-governed environments across all cloud services within PT-IT business area.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a trusted partner to business teams, translating requirements into efficient cloud architectures.
- Ensure operational excellence through proactive monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices for consistent, repeatable deployments.
- Enforce security, compliance, and governance standards across all cloud solutions.
- Ensure high service availability by proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Collaborate across teams to drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous enhancement of cloud services.
- Support preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents and bottlenecks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through relevant work experience.
- Proven 3-5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure services (PAAS & IAAS)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates)
- CI/CD pipeline implementation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Cloud networking (VNets, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, DNS)
- IAM, Zero Trust and Cloud Security practices
- Nice to have: Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Certification
- Advanced level of English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
- Customer oriented approach

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time 50:50 between working remotely and being on-site in Brno, Czech Republic (CZ). We are able to consider only candidates already living within the Czech Republic who are based near Brno and can commute to the office on a regular basis.
