Your role
We are looking for a Global Freight Category Specialist – Road, with primary responsibility for the EMEA region, to support the execution of global road freight tenders and drive suppliers' service excellence across Vacuum Technique Business Area
In this role, you will execute road transport tender activities, analyse freight performance, monitor supplier service levels, and support the continuous improvement of transport processes across regions. Working closely with logistics and procurement teams, freight suppliers, Product Companies, Customer Centres, and Distribution Centres, you will help improve cost transparency, service quality, and operational performance within VTBA's road transport network.
What will you do?
- Execute global road freight tenders, ensuring cost efficiency and service competitiveness across VTBA countries.
- Analyse tender outcomes and transport performance across regions, entities, and service types, including LTL and FTL transport.
- Support transport process optimisation by developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and service level frameworks.
- Maintain road freight contract frameworks and monitor supplier performance related to cost, delivery, and service levels.
- Use reporting, benchmarking, and market intelligence to improve competitiveness, transparency, and operational performance.
- Support SAP route determination and lead-time reliability across regional transport networks.
- Collaborate with Product Companies, Customer Centres, Distribution Centres, freight suppliers, and procurement teams, including support of freight escalations when required.
- Cooperate with other Atlas Copco business areas on road transport management initiatives.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or a related field.
- Knowledge of transport and freight operations and the ability to learn cargo specifications across transport modes and regions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, results-driven, and self-motivated approach.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or similar analytical and automation tools is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
