Global Automation Platform Manager - Automated Tightening Cell

Your Mission

Do you want to shape the future of industrial automation on a global scale? As our Global Automation Platform Manager, you will play a key role in the evolution of Atlas Copco's Automated Tightening Cell (TCR) platform, helping manufacturers around the world improve productivity, quality, and efficiency through innovative automation solutions. Working at the intersection of technology, customer needs, and product development, you will transform real-world challenges into scalable solutions that create value across global markets. You will collaborate with experts in R&D, Engineering, Project Execution, and Business Development to drive continuous innovation and ensure our automation platform remains at the forefront of Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 developments.

Your mission is to strengthen and grow the value proposition of the Automated Tightening Cell platform, supporting both our Motor Vehicle Industry (MVI) and General Industry (GI) automation strategies. Based in our Automation Excellence Center in Brno and reporting to the Global Business Manager Automation, you will help shape platform development, influence future solution capabilities, and enable automation solutions that deliver value to customers worldwide.

Your Day-to-Day

•    Lead the global synchronization and continuous improvement of the Automated Tightening Cell (TCR) platform.
•    Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Project Execution, and Business Development teams to enhance solution performance and customer value.
•    Translate customer needs, market trends, and operational feedback into product improvements and new functionalities.
•    Prioritize platform developments and support strategic pilot projects that drive future growth.
•    Guide R&D activities and help define the roadmap for new features and capabilities.
•    Support project teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure efficient execution and successful customer outcomes.
•    Share knowledge, best practices, and training across the global organization.
•    Transfer successful solutions and innovations from regional developments into global markets while adapting them to local needs.

Your experience and skills

• A degree in Engineering or a related technical field combined with strong application knowledge in automation.
• Experience within industrial automation, ideally in machine building or related industries.
• Good understanding of mechanics, mechatronics, industrial programming, PLCs, robotics, or related automation technologies.
• The ability to connect technical possibilities with customer needs and practical application requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different functions and organizational levels.
• A self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
• A collaborative approach combined with a willingness to take ownership and drive continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally (typically more than 25%) to customer sites, Automation Innovation Centers, and Customer Centers.
