Mission/Purpose of the Job:
Be the global expert in freight tenders and supplier service excellence. Optimize and drive service levels for global transport costs and on-time delivery across VTBA divisions and networks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute VTBA's global freight strategy by region, transport mode, and type.
- Optimize international Air and Parcel movement tendering and monitoring processes
- Implement profitable contracts and service conditions with strategic suppliers.
- Review and analyze the performance of globally contracted service partners.
- Maintain freight service contract framework with strategic suppliers.
- Ensure global processes for using contracted freight rates and monitoring performance.
- Enable automated freight sourcing and performance tracking.
- Drive market intelligence and bench-marking initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Companies, Customer Centres, Distribution Centres, and freight suppliers.
- Support the leadership team with freight status visibility.
- Participate in the Global Freight Council at Atlas Copco.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in logistics, supply chain, or procurement.
- Knowledge of cargo specifications for each transport mode and region.
- Skills to optimize processes, drive changes, and solve problems.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, results-driven, and self-motivated.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office; skills in Power BI, Power Automate preferred.
Scope of the Job:
- Global scope in VTBA, senior-expert level.
- Drive and execute global tender processes and supplier performance tracking.
- Establish visibility of regional transport performance and drive improvements.
- Interact with VTBA logistics and procurement divisions, Product Companies, Customer Centres, and Distribution Centres.
- Communicate with global/regional freight service suppliers.
- International travel as needed.
