This role is initially intended to be for 15 months of Maternity cover, permanent opportunities in the team may become available at the end of the period, depending on business needs and individual performance. 

 

Mission/Purpose of the Job: 

Be a global expert in developing and controlling the transparency and visibility of VTBA global transport key indices: cost, delivery performance, and CO2e footprint. Develop visualized reports and manage standardized processes. 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and deliver VTBA global freight performance metrics (cost, lead time, CO2e) through visualized reports and analysis. 

  • Drive performance in key freight KPIs (lead time accuracy, on-time delivery, freight cost, CO2e footprint). 

  • Implement standardized processes for transport routes, lead times, and modes. 

  • Ensure accuracy of transport-related SAP master data. 

  • Identify and optimize gaps between ERP settings and actual operations. 

  • Enhance CO2e measurement frameworks for transparency and granularity. 

  • Support and deliver training for standardized processes. 

  • Enable automated tracking of freight performance. 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (Product Companies, Customer Centres, Distribution Centres, Logistics, IT, Sustainability). 

  • Provide visibility of freight performance to leadership. 

 

Skills / Knowledge / Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 3+ years in logistics, supply chain, and data analysis. 

  • Proficient in analyzing diverse freight data and optimizing processes. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. 

  • Fluent in English (oral and written). 

  • MS Office skills required; Power BI and Power Automate preferred. 

 

Scope of the Job: 

  • Global scope in VTBA freight and transportation. 

  • Drive global process standardizations and freight master data maintenance. 

  • Establish visibility of global transport performance (cost, lead time, on-time delivery, CO2e footprint). 

  • Interact with diverse VTBA divisions and Atlas Copco Business Areas. 

  • International travel may be required.
