Your Role

The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the entire manufacturing function from the ground up – team size approx 30 people.
This role combines strategic setup and daily operational leadership — from designing the production concept to ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.

The scope includes electrical and mechanical assembly, a machining workshop in a cell-based production (no line assembly), as well as cooperation with external assembly partners.
We are looking for a leader who can thrive in an unstructured environment, take ownership, and build a manufacturing setup step by step to the top class standard.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish manufacturing operations from scratch – define layout, processes, team structure, and documentation.
  • Lead the implementation of cell-based assembly operations for electro and mechanical products.
  • Set up and manage electrical and mechanical assembly cells and the machining workshop.
  • Define, implement, and sustain production standards, visual management, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Drive the daily manufacturing rhythm – lead and structure fast daily production meetings (SIM / stand-ups) to align priorities and remove roadblocks.
  • Monitor and act on line-down situations, ensure rapid recovery, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
  • Track and ensure optimal utilization of resources and capacity across all production areas.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Supply Chain to secure manufacturability and seamless design-to-production transfer.
  • Responsibility for the quality of the manufactured products
  • Establish and track production KPIs (efficiency, OTD, quality, rework, utilization).
  • Develop and coach production team members; promote ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Manage and coordinate external manufacturing and installation partners, ensuring quality and delivery performance.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all production areas.
  • Contribute to budget creation, cost control, and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Build and foster a culture of hands-on leadership, transparency, and operational excellence.

To succeed, you will need

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing leadership.
  • Proven record in building or transforming production environments (greenfield / brownfield).
  • Strong practical understanding of electro-mechanical assembly and cell-based manufacturing.
  • Experience with lean tools (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, visual management).
  • Excellent ability to structure and lead daily operational meetings and production control routines.
  • Analytical mindset with focus on utilization, capacity, and throughput optimization.
  • Skilled communicator and team builder, able to motivate and develop people.
  • Fluent English, Czech or Slovak is a must
  • ERP system literacy (SAP preferred), MS Office.
  •
