Your role

The main purpose of this position is to design, develop and support mechanical solutions for automated and robotic equipment, ensuring technical quality, complete documentation and compliance with requirements and customer specifications through the project lifecycle.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical tools and resources. 
  • Maintain up-to-date systems and documentation.
  • Prepare data (3D, 2D) according to instructions from the Design Leader.
  • Create documentation (3D, 2D) for production, assembly, and transport fixtures.
  • Perform calculations for mechanical components, incl. basic finite element method (FEM) calculations. 
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of documentation for production, assembly and procurement.
  • Maintain up-to-date Product Data Management (PDM) system (Windchill, Vault).
  • Prepare a Bills of Materials (BOM) as a basis for production, assembly and procurement.
  • Collaborate on specifying electrical components for equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement during deviations in technical drawings and deliveries.
  • Conduct sample testing for customers.
  • Assist programmers and participate in equipment commissioning (both at the company headquarters and at customer sites).
  • Ensure equipment functionality according to customer requirements.
  • Provide transport order details (weights, dimensions and reference images).
  • Process documentation materials (assembly drawings, BOMs, spare parts lists, risk analyses, MFMEA, pneumatic schemes, simulations and user manuals).
  • Perform additional tasks as instructed by the Design Leader.

 
To succeed, you will need 

  • Education: University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation
  • Languages: local, level: fluent + English, level: min. intermediate
  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform reverse engineering
  • Familiarity with applicable engineering standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in PC skills and CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor)
  • Driver’s license (Category B)
