Power BI Developer

Your role
As a Power BI Developer, you will be part of a team who is delivering valuable services to the Compressor Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco. You will work together with other Power BI developers, product owners and data engineers. You will be responsible for the Power BI front-end design, development, and delivery for highly visible data-driven applications in Atlas Copco Compressor Technique. You always take a quality-first approach where you ensure the data is visualized in a clear, accurate and user-friendly manner. You ensure standards and best practices are followed and ensure documentation is created and maintained. Where needed, you take initiative and make recommendations to drive improvements.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Develop dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI, ensuring clear, accurate, and user-friendly visualizations.
- Create relationships between data and develop tabular/multidimensional models.
- Perform DAX queries and functions; optimize performance for enterprise-level solutions.
- Document algorithms, parameters, models, relationships, and maintain a dashboard catalogue for BI reports.
- Track, monitor, and resolve production issues; implement bug fixes and enhancements.
- Provide support to end users for data queries and assist in building Power BI reports.
- Quality assure documentation, training materials, and processes through benchmarks.
- Promote data governance principles and best practices across the organization.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
- Work on simple requests independently without the need of support from a senior Power BI developer
- You are able to structure the dashboards to tell a coherent story through visualizations
- Understand business requirements and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
To succeed, you will need
- Minimum 3 years in BI development & data visualization, including Power BI.
- Proven experience in data modeling, custom calculations, and enterprise-level dashboard design.
- Power BI: Advanced knowledge of front-end development, DAX, and visualization best practices.
- SQL: Intermediate to advanced level.
- Data Modeling: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, time intelligence, and relational database concepts.
- Data Warehousing: Good knowledge of architecture and technologies.
- Azure: Familiarity with Data Lake, Databricks, and SQL is a plus.
- Automation: Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for Power BI platform automation.
- Ability to create complex visuals and KPI charts for enterprise use.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and translate requirements into actionable solutions.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in Brno, Czech Republic (CZ).We can consider only candidates already living within the Czech Republic.
